Hat Yai Market

Hat Yai Market and Food.

When in Hat Yai you need to eat something no question, the question is rather what to eat? Now there are two main directions you must eat the first is Chinese food such as chicken and beef plus lots of duck versions plus seafood and plenty of other  in one of the exotic restaurants.

Another version of dinner could be Malaysian street food mainly fried sea-food but also roti, laksa or anything in this direction it needs a bit to search around. Don't take meat or fish-balls since often the raining stuff land there.

Since most people on the weekend are tourists from Malaysia the large food market in front of the Lee Garden Hotel is overwhelming. That's a mega nightmarket too with dozens of flimsy stalls and even more Chinese junk directly imported from the mainland via Laos. The smuggling bring in all kind of rubbish too.
